  1. I heard a song on WJQ last night that was beautiful and thought we could use it in church sometime. However, I didn’t get the name of the song or the singer. The song was on at 6:15 pm on Wednesday the 11th; can you tell me the name of the song?

    Thanks,
    Mike Van Kampen

  2. Jeremy says:

    Mike!

Here’s the rundown for what aired around the time you mentioned:

6:15pm – Natalie Grant – “Your Great Name” (Acoustic Version)
    6:19pm – Josh Wilson – “I Refuse”

    Hope that helps!

looking for a song that I don’t know the title or name but can quote chorus…can you help me?

“Love will hold us togeter, make us a shelter to weather the storm…I’ll be my brother’s keeper so the whole world will know that we’re not alone….”

    Any input would help, thanks!

  4. Jeremy says:

You’re referring to Matt Maher – “Hold Us Together”!

    Enjoy!

  5. Matthew R. Van Meeteren says:

    Hey Jeremy,

Around 12:15 AM, there was an awesome song on. I only caught a phrase “He loves you the same..”

If you know, please let me know! Thank you!

  6. Jeremy says:

    Matthew,

Hmm…Can’t seem to narrow it down based on the phrase you caught. However, here’s a list of songs that played around the time you noted on Sunday morning.

    12:05a – Abandon – “Hero”
12:09a – Addison Road – “All that Matters”
12:12a – Jamie Grace (feat. tobyMac) – “Hold Me”
12:18a – Matthew West – “My Own Little World”
    12:22a – Skillet – “Those Nights”
12:26a – Sidewalk Prophets – “You Love Me Anyway”

    Jeremy

  9. Erick says:

I can’t remember the name of a song. I have heard it on JQ but couldn’t remember the name. I know this line “its like youre drowning right in front of me and i’m reaching out but you can’t see theres something holding on to you so tight.”

  10. Jeremy says:

    Erick,

Matthew West – “You Know Where to Find Me”

    Enjoy!

  11. Rob says:

I’ve heard a couple times over the past week a new song I think by Newsboys… did they come out with a new single not on the Born Agian album? Thanks!

  12. Cory says:

I Heard this song around 10:55 PM June 11th. It sounded like Mercyme, and some of the lyrics were: “The will be better days”

  13. Jeremy says:

    Rob,

Sounds like you’re hearing “Save Your Life”, which is actually on the Born Again: Miracles Edition album. It’s the Born Again album with like 4-5 extra songs on it.

    Jeremy

  14. Jeremy says:

    Cory,

Hmm…There is a new MercyMe song floating around JQ99 right now. However it didn’t play at 10:55pm on June 11th. It played a little later. It’s called, “Move” from their “The Generous Mr. Lovewell” CD. There is a line in it that says, “There’s going to be brighter days, there’s going to be brighter days.”

Maybe Google/Bing it and see if that’s the one you were thinking of. If not, let me know and I’ll keep digging.

    Thanks!

    Jeremy

  15. Cory says:

    Thanks! That’s the one!

  16. Doug Roskamp says:

Why did the Newsboys take “Impossible” off their Born Again: Miracles Edition album? Every other song from the original album is on there except Impossible.

  17. Jeremy says:

    Doug,

Not sure. I can ask the label and find out, but I don’t think it’ll change their minds.

Interesting story. Before “Born Again” came out, they were pushing the title track “Born Again” to Christian Rock stations and gave stations like JQ a song called “I’ll Be”. “I’ll Be” was okay, but was a slower anthem…Well needless to say, music directors like me wanted to be able to play “Born Again” and after some of us jumped on it, they switch out the singles and made “Born Again” available to all Christian stations. Now, flash forward to when the album released…”I’ll Be” not on the album at all. However…Not’s it on the Miracles Edition. Strangeness all around.

    Sorry Doug!

  18. dee says:

ok i think i heard a new steven curtis song about 2 weeks ago but I haver nto heard it since. The song based on Col 3:23 working at what you are doing with all of your heart. Play it more and when will the CD bve out?

  19. Jeremy says:

    Dee,

The only new Steve Curtis song we’re playing right now, we’re playing in normal rotation. It’s called, “Do Everything”. Feel free to call in and request it, if you’d like! We’re loving it!

    Jeremy

  20. Mona says:

Hey…what happened to the list of songs…I LOVED having that so that when I hear a song while driving down the road and ya’all don’t say who it is, I can look at my watch and check it out when I get home…bring it back…PLEASE!!! :) Currently…I wanted to know what song was playing at about 12:21 today (Friday)…I think it was right before “I Will Praise You in this Storm”? Thank you!!!

  21. Melody Holcomb says:

I heard a song between 12:15-12:45 on Saturday 6/25- some of the lyrics were “Come rest in My or His arms- I would really like the name of the song and the artist-

    Thanks and God bless!

  22. Jeremy says:

    Melody,

Hmmm…There’s a song by Phil Wickham called, “Safe” that says, “You can be safe in his arms”, but I that didn’t play during the time range you specified. I’m having a little difficulty tracking that down. Here’s what did play between 12:15p – 12:45p on Saturday, June 25th.

    12:10p – Reilly – “Limited Time”
12:13p – Jamie Greace (Featuring tobyMac) – “Hold Me”
    12:23p – Chris Tomlin – “I Will Follow”
12:27p – Addison Road – “All that Matters”
    12:30p – Sanctus Real – “The Redeemer”
12:35p – JJ Heller – “What Love Really Means”
    12:39p – Kutless – “It’s Like Me”
12:42p – Me In Motion – “Eye of the Hurricane”

That’s it. Are any of these it? If not, let me know anything else you can remember about the song and we’ll try to track it down for you!

    Jeremy

  23. Jeremy says:

    Mona,

We still have it, however it really only displays that last 10 songs played. Would you like us to expand that to a larger number?

As far as the song you heard, I don’t show that we played “Praise You in this Storm” in the 12pm hour on Friday. Here’s what did play around 12:21p on Friday though:

    12:12p – NEEDTOBREATHE – “Slumber”
12:22p – Phil Wickham – “In My Love”
12:26p – Chris Tomlin – “How Can I Keep From Singing”

Are any of these it? If not, let me know so we can keep working to track it down. Thanks!

    Jeremy

  24. Cory says:

Whenever you have a contest, when do you call in? I may sound weird, but I want to answer the rush hour riddle and I don’t know if you call in while they have the answer segment or during the commercial/song break.

  25. Jeremy says:

    Cory,

We certainly try to tell you when you’re supposed to call in. In regards to the Rush Hour Riddle, you should be trying to call after Emilee reads the question. They answer the phones during the commercial break or song, depending on the timing.

    Hope that helps!

    Jeremy

  26. Lily says:

I Wanted To Know The Name of A Song That Goes Something like “its Gotta Be More Like Falling in Love” Thanks.

  27. Jeremy says:

    Lily,

    Enjoy!

    Jeremy

  28. CJ says:

What was the song that played on September 11 at around 8:38 AM? It sounded like it was called “one” but I couldn’t find it. I came to this website too late to find it.

  29. Jeremy says:

    CJ,

Checked in on the info you provided and there is a song called, “One” that played around the time you specified. It’s by Chris Sligh. Hope that helps you out.

    Thanks!

    Jeremy

  30. CJ says:

    Thanks, Jeremy!

  31. CJ says:

I think it was last night in the nine or ten o’clock hour, I heard this song. I don’t know who sang it or what it was called, but one of the lyrics was “I’m all out of words to say.” I don’t remember the rest. It was a moderate tempo, and a little sad. I honestly don’t know, and any input would help. Thanks!

  32. Jeremy says:

    CJ,

Stumped me for a moment on this one, but I think I’ve got it. Look up Sixteen Cities – “Pray You Through”. “I’m all out of words, there’s nothing I can say, to you” is part of the chorus.

    Thanks!

    Jeremy

  33. Ian says:

    Thanks,
It was Wayne Kerr Band -”the Mirror”

  36. Jeremy says:

Oh sweet. Do you like the song enough, you’d like to hear it more on JQ?

    Jeremy

That was the one. Thank you!!! That’s one of my favorite songs now! =)

  38. Lily says:

I Wanted To Know A Name of A Song that Played Around 7:16 on Oct. 1. Thank You

  39. Jeremy says:

  41. Jeremy says:

    CJ,

No worries, we can look them up for you too!

Here are some songs that played around that time, although, I’m not sure which one lines up with your lyrics.

  42. DF says:

RED’s song “Not Alone” has been #1 on the Christian CHR National Airplay list for five weeks running. I would SO like to hear it on JQ! And thank you, Jeremy, for the great job you do.

  43. Jeremy says:

    Diane,

Thanks for the note, especially the encouraging part! :)

In regards to “Not Alone”, we actually DO play it. However, it only plays during The Wally Show each weekday from 7p-11p and on Saturday evenings during Ignite from 7p-10p. I will look into the possibility of dropping it into regular rotation or by special request!

    Thanks!
